PYTHON MT Fixings are a purposely designed, seismically tested and fully mechanical structural system for connecting steel and timber members onto URM brick, concrete block and soft stone masonry. This connection has been proven to be a reliable alternative to epoxy anchorages. It boasts a quick installation without the need for specialist equipment, and exhibits a high resistance to earthquake loads. Minimally invasive and fully reversible, the PYTHON MT offers a mechanical structural connection to masonry that is quick, simple, and reliable.

DESCRIPTION

PYTHON C was developed following hundreds of inspections that we undertook on damaged masonry cavity-wall buildings following the 2010/2011 Canterbury earthquakes.

PYTHON C Fixings enables more efficient restoration and earthquake retrofit designs by effectively integrating veneers and cavity walls, enabling composite out-of-plane behavior. The use of the PYTHON C system as an out-of-plane retrofit technique for brick masonry veneers and cavity walls has undergone world class full scale semi-static cyclic and dynamic testing using best practice research methods.

PYTHON’s cavity and veneer ties are minimally invasive and fully reversible, offering quick and simple installation with a subtle appearance.

Inspired by the old European tradition of utilising decorative anchor pattress plates to improve floor/roof to wall connections in masonry buildings, PYTHON Fixings supplies elegantly designed structural anchor plates (aka pattress plates) that conform with historical New Zealand architecture for the strengthening and restoration of existing URM masonry structures.
